Built by a founding and advisory team with 90+ years of combined experience.
Filtration rebuilt from first principles to meet real user needs — not incremental change to tools that were never designed for the scales bioprocessing works at today.
Bench → commercial
Three principles.
True customer needs
We start from the problem a scientist or a process engineer actually has at the bench or on the floor — the volume, the feed, the operation — not from what is easy to build or easy to sell.
Sustainability oriented
Less consumable waste, less water, less energy per unit produced. Reusable where reuse is right, single-use where a closed path is required, and honest about which is which.
Engineering driven
The filtration bottleneck is a fluid mechanics design problem. We solve it with flow-path geometry and control, and we publish the numbers and the assumptions behind them.
At Spectrum Labs — later acquired by Repligen — our founder and advisors played crucial roles in developing and commercializing the KrosFlo® KR2i and KMPi TFF systems and mPES hollow fiber filters: tools now running in labs and plants worldwide, including purification for COVID-19 mRNA vaccine production. That work also showed us how much room those tools still leave for improvement, and how much more we could contribute by fixing what remains — making therapeutics affordable and abundant, and this planet more sustainable.
We started Tanda because too many therapeutics remain too expensive, and too many bioproducts with real value for sustainability are still too costly to make. In R&D, systems are not small enough, not simple enough, and lack throughput; at large scale they lack capacity and run inefficiently. Tanda exists to remove those hurdles.
Advance efficient, scalable, and sustainable biomanufacturing through next-generation fit-for-scale filtration and continuous processing technologies.
A healthier, more sustainable world where biomanufacturing enables more affordable medicines, foods, and bio-based products for everyone.
Guided by leaders in science & industry.
Tanda is advised by experts across bioprocessing, life-science commercialization, and chemical engineering.

We’re hiring and partnering.
If you want to work on filtration that actually moves biomanufacturing forward — as an engineer, a scientist, a collaborator, or an early customer — we’d like to hear from you.
Let’s talk about your bioprocess.
Curious whether our platforms fit your process, your volumes, or your timeline? Send us the details and we’ll tell you straight — including when we’re not the right answer.
What to send. The fastest answer comes from three things: what you are making, the volume you work at, and the operation you need — concentration, diafiltration, clarification, harvest. That is usually enough for us to tell you which platform fits on the first reply.
